Perinatal Mental Health

Who i work with?

I work with individuals and families who are hoping to conceive or adopt, who are pregnant, and who are in their first year as new parents. Additionally, I support individuals and families struggling with infertility or perinatal grief and loss. I believe in a holistic approach encompassing the physical, psychological, and emotional aspects of the journey to parenthood. A great deal of my work encompasses the identity shift that happens from self as individual to self as parent. I draw upon my extensive background and training in attachment theory to promote positive attachment and bonding between caregiver and child.

This transition to parenthood might bring up questions about your own childhood and how you were parented or it could bring up past feelings from a previous perinatal loss or traumatic delivery. The hormonal shifts and changes might have you wondering whether these emotions are “baby blues” or something more serious. My hope is that through our work together you’ll experience increased self-confidence, resilience, and healing. I hope you’ll reach out to schedule an initial consultation to see if I would be a good fit for you during this time.
